What it does
Every shopping app wants to sell you something. Priced only wants to tell you whether the thing in front of you is worth what they're asking.
The point
That's the whole app. Not a marketplace, not a coupon feed, not a wishlist. You show it a thing and a price; it shows you whether that price holds up against what the market actually charges. It's the check you'd do on your laptop at home, done in the aisle before you've spent the money.
Value estimate
AI identifies the item and estimates its value. On well-catalogued products the range is tight; on odd or rare things it's honest about being wider.
Compare
Comparison prices for the same or equivalent item, so the tag has something to be measured against. This is where "it's on sale" gets tested.
Barcode
Packaged goods with a barcode identify exactly, which makes the comparison exact too. The fastest, most reliable scan in the app.
Second-hand
No packaging, no barcode, just the item. Priced still identifies it and gives you a range, which is exactly when a range is worth the most — nobody's printed a fair price on a used lamp.
Everywhere you buy
The scan doesn't care where you're standing. Shelf in a shop, listing on a laptop screen, or an item on a table — it's the same three steps and the same verdict.
Priced is built from what the camera can identify and what comparable items are listed for at the time. That's a strong read on common products and a wider one on unusual ones, and the app tells you which you're looking at.
Treat the number as a well-informed second opinion, not a guarantee. If you're about to spend serious money on something rare, the estimate is where your research starts, not where it ends.
